Composition Techniques

The first four composition techniques are rule of thirds, framing, unusual angles and leading lines. These are important because they are techniques to having a more interesting video or picture you should use them because it could add more meaning to your picture or draw attention to a specific thing that you want people to focus on.Leading lines is good for doing this. Leading lines are lines that lead to the picture that you were originally supposed to look at. There are ten other composition techniques, and they are Emotion, Action, Close up, Reaction, Contrast in Content, repetition of shape, group shot, parts of a whole, horizontal and vertical. In all there are 14 different composition techniques .These are all the composition techniques, some may be better than others for certain pictures or video's though. For example group shot may be good for an ending of a school play to introduce all the characters at once and for the characters to take a final bow. This is my example of the main four composition techniques,do you like them they were a fun project to do and a great way to learn.

This is my video of three shot sequences that me and my team did.My team was me Dylan Niide and Raiden Kurisu .A three shot sequence are three shots where the first shot is a wide shot the second shot is a medium and the last shot is a close/extreme close. At first we had a bit of trouble finding a thing to do our sequence on.We also had trouble with the sequence shots on how to shoot it.In the end I think it turned out really well, what do you think of it.For additional information go here sequence and variety shooting or here shooting a short sequence  .Now I give you my video, it still may not be finished but as you can tell it was kind of hard. Now I challenge you to make your own three shot sequence.

Practice Story Reflection

In G.T I made a project where you had to interview someone in your group and write a story about it. We did our interview about how Leleaka Likes to sing. Leleaka is someone in my group that was the oldest person. Since she was the oldest person there and the project we were doing was about how old people have a lot of wisdom. I think I did well on this project but could have a lot of improvement. The people I worked with, the people in my group were, Lilio Masi, Loren Weiner and Leleaka Anakalea go check out their blogs as well.

I think we could have improved by making better choices because our team finished late and had to come in at lunch recess. I also think that I could have spoke up more because most of the time I was sitting there asking what can I do. I think we did good because even though we finished late I think it came out really good. When my teacher first said to pair up with people that live close to you I knew no one lives close to me. It kind of worked out in the end though because we found people who were planning to meet in the area I lived in.

I am afraid of what might happen now that everyone is finished and we get graded and the whole team gets the same grade. I paired up with someone I hardly knew but the first day we got together I thought oh this might work out. It did work out for most of the part but toward the end of our time limit one of the people were absent. We stretched through it though. This was a big challenge.
